We drive resource efficiency, the circular economy, and the SDGs to train leaders.

Objectives

Training committed individuals

Training committed individuals

FAE guides its teaching practice toward the training of professionals who, in addition to being competent in their fields, are aware of global challenges and promote a multi and interdisciplinary approach. The goal is for future generations to not only understand the concept of sustainability but also apply it in their respective professions, becoming agents of change.

Generation of high-quality academic knowledge

Generation of high-quality academic knowledge

There is a commitment to driving research and innovation with an approach that contributes directly to a sustainable development model. This involves fostering projects that seek solutions to the most pressing environmental and social problems and generate applicable knowledge for the benefit of society.

Sustainable management of the institution's internal processes

Sustainable management of the institution's internal processes

FAE seeks for its own operations to serve as a model of sustainability. This includes the efficient management of resources such as water and energy, waste reduction and recycling, and the promotion of responsible practices in all administrative and academic areas, from teaching to daily campus management.

Promotion of a sustainable culture outside the university

Promotion of a sustainable culture outside the university

This objective focuses on the public role of the institution. Through the creation of networks and alliances, FAE seeks to contribute to the adoption of a sustainable development model at local, national, and global levels. This involves collaborating with other universities, organizations, and civil society to raise awareness and provide training on the importance of sustainability.

Commitment to carbon neutrality

Commitment to carbon neutrality

According to international agreements, the university has set out to work toward quantifying, reducing, and ultimately neutralizing its carbon footprint. This involves the implementation of sustainable mobility plans, the use of renewable energy, and the constant search for ways to minimize the environmental impact of its activities.

Networking for sustainability

Networking for sustainability

FAE understands that sustainability is a collective effort. Therefore, networking is encouraged both internally, among faculties and departments, and externally, collaborating with the Sustainable Campus Network (Red Campus Sustentable) and other entities. The goal is to share experiences, strengthen projects, and enhance the impact of sustainable initiatives.
